About This River

Tahquamenon River, Eastern Upper Peninsula

One of the UP's great rivers. Famous for its tannin-stained falls. Brook trout in the upper watershed; steelhead enter the lower river. Tahquamenon Falls State Park surrounds much of it.

Species present: Brook trout, Steelhead trout, Brown trout. Stream type: freestone.
