Arenac/Iosco County tributary of the Au Gres. Cold upper sections with brown trout. Flows through the Ogemaw Hills before joining the main Au Gres.
The East Branch of the Au Gres River flows through the Ogemaw Hills in Arenac County. Cold springs in the upper watershed support brown trout and some brook trout. A smaller stream that feeds into the main Au Gres before it reaches Saginaw Bay.
Quiet water that receives little pressure. Best fished in spring and early summer. County road crossings provide access. Small flies and a careful approach will find fish in the deeper bends and undercut banks.
