Eddy Creek is notable as the only quality trout tributary of the Rifle River below the town of Selkirk. While the other strong tributaries (Klacking, Houghton, Gamble, Wilkins) all enter above Selkirk, Eddy Creek provides cold-water habitat and trout fishing in the mid-river system.

A small, modest creek that holds both browns and brook trout. Not a destination by itself, but worth exploring if you are fishing the Rifle in the Selkirk area and want to try something different. Small flies and a careful approach.
